Welcome! We are excited that you made the choice to join us here at Virtual Prep Academy of Indiana @ Madison-Grant. We look forward to supporting you in your school journey. Monday, March 1st is your first day of school and there are several things that you will need to accomplish this week to make sure you are set up for success. Below you will find your assignments and instructions on how to complete them.
You have been shipped a school provided computer. If you have not received that computer by Sunday, February 28th, please reach out to one of the team members below for assistance.
Log-In and account information will be sent to you in a separate email. If you do not see that email, please check your email junk folder.

What to Expect the First Week
Monday
Live Orientation Session: two Live Orientation sessions will be held, it is mandatory that you attend 1 of the 2 offered sessions.
Online Course Tutorials: complete the Resources module at the beginning of each course. Inside each of your academic course cards click Activities on the left-hand side and begin working through the Resources folder. This will teach you how to get started, key learning coach tasks, and how to navigate the system to access student learning.
Tuesday & Wednesday
iReady Testing: testing helps us understand what your student knows today, so goals can be set for academic growth and mastery of state standards. Students will take the iReady assessment for reading and math.
Live Help Sessions: live help sessions will be available every afternoon Tuesday through Friday at 1:00 PM. Feel free to drop in if you have any questions or need help. The live help session links can be found in the Communication section of your course dashboard.
Academic Course Work: continue to work through the content of each subject’s course tutorial located in the Resources folder. Once you have completed the online course tutorial for each subject, your student can begin to work in each of his or her assigned courses. Students should follow their daily plan. Please note – live instruction with teachers will not begin until Monday, March 8th. Students’ individualized learning plans will be discussed in their individual introduction meeting with their teacher.

Thursday & Friday
Meet Your Teacher: Thursday and/or Friday morning everyone can stop by and meet their teacher. Join us for a quick get-to-know-you conversation, see the virtual classroom, and meet other students/families.
