Our Leadership Team

Melissa DeWitt is the Head of School for The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Indiana at Madison-Grant. Mrs. DeWitt is entering her 20th year in education. Her roles have included principal, Academic Director, data coach, and teacher. She is most proud of her work to launch Indiana’s first full-time online school, giving students and families another choice here in Indiana. In her free time, Mrs. DeWitt loves traveling and hiking with her husband, their three children, and their two German Shepherds. 

Mrs. Katy Williams is the K-12 Principal for Virtual Preparatory Academy of Indiana at Madison-Grant. Mrs. Williams is entering her 13th year in education. She started teaching in 2001 for several years, stayed home for 8 years with her children, and then returned to education in 2014. Her roles have included elementary classroom teacher, High Ability program coordinator, Technology Integration coordinator, Teacher Librarian, Media Specialist, and Assistant Principal. In her free time, Mrs. Williams enjoys traveling with her husband, reading, exercising, baking, and watching her four teenage daughters dance competitively.

Angel Brown is the Manager of School Operations for The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Indiana at Madison-Grant. A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with 9 years of experience in school operations and 20+ years of experience as an administrative professional involving human resources, program management, and customer service. This will be the third school launch that Angel has participated in, and she is extremely excited and privileged to be a part of the Accel and VPrep team. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and experiencing life with her husband and their two Maltese dogs and watching their two daughters expand their wings and experience adult life. 

Nadina McFann is the Student Services Coordinator for The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Indiana at Madison-Grant. Mrs. McFann has 13 years of experience in education working with elementary and middle school students and serving as a charter school board liaison. She believes student success is also about finding ways to engage and connect with students. In her free time, Mrs. McFann enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, cooking, cleaning, and living a heart-healthy lifestyle. 

Jen Wolpert is the Special Education Coordinator for Virtual Preparatory Academy of Indiana at Madison-Grant. Jen has worked with students with special needs for the last 15 years. She enjoys helping every student reach their full potential and develop relationships with families. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband on their mini farm. They keep busy with homesteading activities!
